Streamlining Global Procurement for an Agrochemical Leader

As one of the world’s leading agrochemical and agricultural solutions companies, the organization had built a strong global presence across 130+ countries through its crop protection products, seeds and sustainable farming technologies. However, as the business expanded, procurement operations became increasingly difficult to manage at scale. Supplier information was fragmented, many procurement activities remained manual and regional teams struggled with inconsistent workflows, limited contract visibility and language barriers across global markets. To create a more connected, efficient and scalable procurement ecosystem, the company partnered with us to lead an enterprise-wide Source-to-Pay (S2P) transformation focused on improving visibility, supplier governance and operational efficiency across its international operations.
Challenges
As the business expanded globally, procurement complexity increased rapidly.
Teams across regions were spending significant time managing suppliers manually, often working with incomplete or outdated information. This slowed decision-making and created inefficiencies across procurement operations.
Some of the biggest challenges included:
Manual supplier lifecycle management processes
Limited visibility into supplier and contract data
Difficulty tracking contract compliance and expiry timelines
Frequent workflow changes after system go-live
Low usability for both buyers and vendors
Language and adoption challenges across China, LATAM and Europe
The organization also lacked a unified procurement experience across affiliates, making collaboration and governance increasingly difficult at a global level.
Our Approach
Rather than simply implementing a new platform, the focus was on creating a procurement environment that was easier, faster and more connected for everyone involved.
YCP Supply Chain began implementing an end-to-end S2P platform integrated directly with the company’s ERP ecosystem. The goal was to bring supplier management, sourcing, approvals and purchasing activities into one centralized environment.
The transformation was rolled out across multiple international business locations with a strong emphasis on user adoption and operational continuity.
To support the transition, the team introduced:
Dedicated buyer and vendor helpdesk support
Ongoing workflow enhancements and testing
Additional user training programs
Multilingual support in Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin and French
Integration support with third-party vendors and systems
This combination of technology, operational support and regional enablement helped teams adapt more quickly while minimizing disruption to ongoing procurement activities.
Business Impact
The transformation helped the organization move from fragmented procurement operations to a far more connected and scalable model.

Most importantly, procurement teams could now focus less on administrative coordination and more on strategic decision-making and supplier collaboration.
Outcome
The company successfully built a centralized and globally connected procurement ecosystem capable of supporting long-term growth, stronger governance and more efficient supplier management worldwide.
